How much can you earn driving a taxi in Poland?
Taxi earnings in Poland are more than the amount shown in an app. A fair comparison requires your working time, mileage and any costs still to be paid. Use the following method to check your own weekly statement.
🚖 Key points
- Compare the same periods and the same number of working hours.
- Do not deduct platform commission twice if the report already includes it.
- Distinguish the amount after operating costs from the final amount after personal taxes and contributions.
What makes up a driver’s revenue
Start with app statements for one reporting period. Check whether the figures include commission, tips, cash trips, extras and adjustments. You have already received cash from a passenger: do not add it again to an expected bank transfer.
Receipts depend on demand, working times, city and category. One successful shift does not represent every week. Compare several complete weeks, including quieter days.
Costs to include
| Item | What to check |
|---|---|
| App commissions | Whether figures are before or after commission and adjustments. |
| Vehicle | Rental, or maintenance, insurance and depreciation of your own car. |
| Fuel or charging | All working mileage, including pick-ups and empty journeys. |
| Partner and other services | Contract charges, cleaning, parking and phone costs. |
| Taxes and contributions | Your individual calculation under the contract and personal status. |
An illustrative weekly calculation
This is an arithmetic example, not average earnings, a forecast or SPACE PARTNER pricing. Assume a statement shows 3,000 zł after app commission and you spent 45 hours working.
| Item | Illustrative amount |
|---|---|
| Receipts after app commission | 3,000 zł |
| Vehicle rental | −900 zł |
| Fuel | −450 zł |
| Partner settlement service | −50 zł |
| Other operating costs | −150 zł |
| Amount before individual taxes and contributions | 1,450 zł |
1,450 ÷ 45 = 32.22 zł per hour before individual taxes and contributions. Ignoring empty mileage, cleaning or waiting overstates the result. Replace these assumptions with your own contract and statement figures, then reconcile the final payment with your partner.
Your own car versus rental
Your own car has no rental payment, but repairs, tyres, insurance and depreciation remain. For a rental, check what is included, downtime charges and mileage limits. Compare the same planned mileage and schedule.
A deposit is a separate cash requirement at the start, not automatically a recurring weekly expense. Contractual deductions may apply, so read the return terms beforehand.
How to improve the result
- Record receipts, expenses, hours and mileage for every complete week.
- Look at the amount left per hour and kilometre, not only the value of an individual trip.
- Review unnecessary journeys, waiting and paid parking.
- Count a bonus after meeting its conditions, rather than treating it as guaranteed money for essential bills.
- Ask your manager to explain any deduction that does not match your calculation.
Frequently asked questions
Can a weekly income be guaranteed?
Not without knowing your schedule, contract and costs. You need a calculation using specific assumptions.
Is the partner’s bank transfer my total earnings?
Not always. Some receipts may be cash and some costs are paid separately. Reconcile the whole reporting period.
What figure should I compare when choosing work?
The amount after operating costs and individual deductions, together with the time needed to earn it.
